Up for sale is this vintage large Balinese Ubud Batuan figural folk art painting with absolutely incredible detail throughout.
The painting is remarkably dense with deeply saturated tones. Carefully made and carefully balanced, the forms in the painting swirl and intertwine as they repeat each other and expand outwards until they transform into new shapes and new patterns. This painting is a labyrinth of pulsating light that leaves very little room for either the mind or the eye to rest.
There are countless types of spiritual beings depicted and the natural village scene is complex and stunning.
Beautifully framed and clearly done by a master artist.
The frame measures 32.5” inches wide and 35.3” inches tall. In excellent condition!
