§ Artist introduction
李可染 Li Keran (March 26, 1907 – December 5, 1989), Xuzhou, Jiangsu. Qi Baishi, an outstanding painter, poet and painter of modern China. Li Keran liked painting when he was young, and he studied landscape painting when he was 13 years old. At the age of 43, he was a professor at China Central Academy of Fine Arts. He was 49 years old who changed landscape painting and traveled thousands of miles to sketch. At the age of 72, he was vice chairman of the Chinese Artists Association and President of the Academy of Chinese painting. A pen tends to be hot in old age. He is good at painting landscapes and characters, and is especially good at painting cattle.
